About The Perry

Professional curiosity
Time outside
Food that feels like home

Three parts of life that do not usually share a website, brought together by curiosity, practical thinking and the pleasure of sharing something useful.

A little about The Perry

Think clearly, stay curious and share what may be useful

One half of the site comes from an accountant who has spent around sixteen years working across accounting, finance and tax in the UK. He is an ACA and FMAAT and is currently completing the Chartered Tax Adviser qualification.

His professional interests include owner-managed businesses, corporation tax, personal tax, capital gains tax, VAT and CIS, alongside the software and processes that support good financial work.

What interests him most is not simply arriving at an answer, but understanding how the answer was produced. That may mean improving a process, testing new software or recognising the point at which human context matters more than automation.

The kitchen has a different rhythm. Its recipes are shaped by Anita’s family and by Hungarian, Slovak and Czech traditions. Travel and the outdoors are shared territory, with some trips carefully researched and others beginning with a sudden idea and just enough organisation to make them possible.

The Perry is personal, but deliberately selective. It collects useful observations without turning private life into public content.

A private boundary

Personal, not exposed

The Perry is not intended to present a perfect life or a public record of private routines. It is a place to preserve good recipes, record worthwhile journeys, collect useful observations and follow interesting questions carefully and selectively.
